Coral Rain:

In a dystopian future the rain suddenly started transforming organic lifeforms into a coral looking substance. The player pilots a mech that shields them from coming in contact with it. But there will be situations where you need to get outside of your war machine and in these moments you better be quick, because you will be loosing health continuously.

Attention:

Unfortunately I wasn't able to completely finish this project because I got sick during the last few days of the jam.

I originally wanted to have the story told in game, some more dangerous versions of the enemies, a boss and just general polish.

I will put these things in an update after the voting ends.

One of the levels, after the double jump, is impassible because of a forgotten lever and laser door.

It's a metroidvania. You have to go back and use the double jump in an earlier section. Later on there will be a ability to pass the red walls.

Hope that helps.

I didn't get that impression initially since the design up to the point I described was pretty linear.
After I took your advice and went back to the section before, I managed to get a little further, however found myself confused (as I often am) at the confusing Metroidvania design.
It's hard to tell where I should go and in what order, every single section looks the same.
This is less of a critique and more of a statement of a restriction.
The platforming feels like torture, as if intentionally handicapped to slow your speed, it's additionally pretty unfun and not that smooth.

Overall, it's not too bad, and a lot of my points are due to my inexperience with Metroidvanias, I think it has a lot of good elements but maybe just a bit overscoped.

I completely get where you are coming from. It's not very easy to tell where to go and I hope to fix that with an update at some point.

The complaint about movement being slow is also very much understandable because there is the whole rain time limit element to it. While it's kind of the point, I also see why it won't click with anyone.

But thank you for giving it a shot anyway. Very much appreciated
